The Israeli Defense Forces struck targets near Damascus on Thursday night, according to the state-run SANA news agency.
The strike was carried out in order to destroy a number of objects located on the outskirts of the Syrian capital. Some of the rockets were shot down by Syrian air defenses. The rest of the rockets caused only material damage.
On the night of October 22, the Syrian media reported that the Israeli Air Force shelled several locations near Damascus. The media reported that most of the rockets were shot down by Syrian air defenses. On October 24 the Israelis again attacked several targets near the capital, one Syrian soldier was wounded.
