"Putin expressed grave concern over the ongoing hostilities. It was noted that stopping the fighting and adopting measures to de-escalate the crisis were necessary," the Kremlin stressed.
This is the second phone conversation between Putin and Pashinyan in recent days, they had previously talked on Sunday.
The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh escalated on September 27, with active armed clashes taking place on the disputed territory.
