Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Semyon Grigoryev presented copies of his credentials to the republic's Deputy Foreign Minister Sodik Imomi on Tuesday. This was reported by the press service of the Russian embassy in Dushanbe.
"After the solemn ceremony, a conversation took place during which the sides discussed topical issues of Russia-Tajikistan relations," the diplomatic mission noted.
Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Grigoryev ambassador to Tajikistan on August 16, replacing Igor Lyakin-Frolov, who had been in office for almost nine years.
