Russian Deputy Foreign Minister discussed promotion of inter-Libyan dialogue with Libyan politician

Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Foreign Minister of the Libyan government based in the east of the country Abdul Hadi Al-Hweij discussed at consultations on Thursday the tasks of facilitating inter-Libyan dialogue.


"The consultations focused on the emerging situation in and around Libya. At the same time, the task of effectively promoting a sustainable inter-Libyan dialogue with the participation of all influential political forces of the country in the interests of implementing the decisions of the Berlin International Conference and the provisions of UN Security Council Resolution 2510 was emphasized," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.


The Russian side reaffirmed its unwavering support for the unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Libya, the Foreign Ministry said.
