Turkish President announces global changes in the world order

19 March 2020

The West was not prepared for a coronavirus pandemic. As a result, the world is on the verge of radical changes in the political and economic structure, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said a press conference in Ankara.

"The countries of the West left the victims of the epidemic to their fate and behave on the principle of "who can will survive". They did not take care of their citizens for years, and basic public services were transferred to the private sector. Now European countries have begun to nationalize them. We are entering a new era of fundamental changes in the global economic, political and social structure", the Turkish leader said, recalling that global epidemics have previously led to serious political and economic transformations.

According to the latest data,  more than 200 thousand people in about 160 countries are infected, more than 8 thousand people  died.
