No one is interested in the gas market collapsing after oil, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a lecture for MGIMO students in the format of a video conference, answering a question about the interaction of participants of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF).
"The fact that no one is interested in this market collapsing, I think, is clear to everyone," the head of Russian diplomacy said in particular.
The GECF is an international intergovernmental organization that unites the world's leading gas exporters. It was created to strengthen cooperation and exchange experience in the gas sector.
In addition to Russia, the participants are Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Trinidad and Tobago, Malaysia, and Venezuela.
Iraq, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Peru, Azerbaijan and Angola have observer status.
