16 February 2021

Employees of the FSB and Rosfinmonitoring liquidated a cell in Crimea and Tatarstan that was collecting money for the militants of the "Islamic State" (banned in Russia), the FSB Public Relations Center reported.

As noted in the message, from 2015 to 2019, the detainees under the guise of charity collected money on the Internet to transfer abroad for the needs of the militants. Communications equipment, computers and data carriers were seized from them.

A criminal case on the facilitation of terrorist activities was opened against the detainees. The investigation continues.
