The Federal security service has detained five members of a neo-Nazi group in Ufa who were preparing a terrorist attack against law enforcement officers, the Public relations center told TASS on Monday.
According to the FSB, the perpetrators were residents of Ufa born between 2001 and 2003. Officers seized a ready-made explosive device, instructions and components for the manufacture of explosive devices, nine cold weapons, as well as portraits of the leaders of the Third reich, Stepan Bandera and various nationalist attributes from them at their residence, as well as in a cache equipped in an abandoned building.
The Russian investigative committee opened criminal cases against the members of the group under part 1 of article 30 and part 1 of article 205 (preparation for an act of terrorism), 205.3 (training for the purpose of terrorist activity) and 223.1 (illegal manufacturing of explosives or explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspects were taken into custody.
