Rustam Minnikhanov conveyed his condolences over the tragic demise of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi.
"In the Republic of Tatarstan, we received with profound sorrow the news of the tragic passing of President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi and his companions in the helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan Province.
This loss is monumental and irreparable for Iranian society and for all friends of Iran worldwide. I am fortunate to have known Mr. Raisi personally; he exhibited great dedication to fostering Tatar-Iranian cooperation aimed at fortifying the friendly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation. The luminous memory and prayers for Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi will forever illuminate our hearts.
I wholeheartedly share in the grief of this loss. Tatarstan mourns deeply alongside you and the brotherly Iranian people," expressed Minnikhanov in his letter.
Furthermore, condolences have been conveyed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the leadership of East Azerbaijan Province.
