Azerbaijan and Russia increase trade turnover by 22.3% in 10 months

According to the results of 10 months of 2022, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia amounted to $2.868 billion, which is 22.3% more than last year. This was reported by the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (SCC) on Thursday.


According to the Committee, export of Azerbaijani goods to Russia totaled $719.1 mln in January-October (3.2% more compared to the last year), and import of goods from Russia totaled $2.149 bln (30.4% more compared to the last year).


According to the SCC, for 10 months Russia ranked third among the trade partners of Azerbaijan, following Italy and Turkey. The share of trade operations with Russia during this period amounted to 6.19% of the total foreign trade turnover of the country.


In 2021, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia increased by 12.1% compared to the previous year and reached $2.99 billion. The share of trade operations with Russia last year amounted to 8.83% of the total foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan.
