Azerbaijani and Russian Prime Ministers Discuss Economic Ties

Prime Minister Ali Asadov of Azerbaijan and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin held a telephone conversation today, March 3, to address key aspects of trade and economic cooperation. According to the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers, the parties reviewed the current growth in trade turnover and the progress of joint projects across several sectors of mutual interest.

 

During the exchange, the Russian side extended its gratitude to the Azerbaijani leadership for its vital role in the swift evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran.

 

"The two heads of government also emphasized the importance of a high-level Russian delegation's visit to Baku on March 2. They welcomed the decision to hold the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Azerbaijan this coming April," the statement reads.

 

Asadov congratulated Mikhail Mishustin on his 60th birthday, wishing him continued success in his public service.
