16 December

Bahrain is optimistic about a significant rise in trade with Russia in 2025, according to the Bahraini Ambassador to Russia, Ahmed Al-Saati, in an interview with Izvestia.

“Business is indeed growing, and trade between Russia and Bahrain is developing very quickly. We are exploring areas for further enhancement, particularly in tourism, education, and healthcare, which have immense potential,” he said. Al-Saati emphasized that the exchange of delegations between the two nations is actively supported, and he expects this cooperation to expand further by 2025. “Many businessmen have visited Russia recently, finding it highly promising for fruitful future endeavors,” he added.

The ambassador also highlighted that 2025 will be marked as the Year of Russian Culture in Bahrain, following agreements between the leaders of both nations. “We will host numerous events, including musical and artistic performances. Russia is a good friend, and we are proud of our relationship,” he concluded.

Earlier, in May, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his meeting with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, announced plans for Bahrain to host Russian Seasons in 2025, while Russia will celebrate Days of Bahraini Culture in 2024.
