The Kingdom of Bahrain has been granted the status of guest country at the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which will take place from June 18 to 21, according to a statement from the Roscongress Foundation.
"In recent years, Russia and Bahrain have significantly strengthened economic cooperation, developing partnerships in key areas such as energy, high technology, logistics, and tourism. Both countries are actively working to expand trade and economic relations and to create joint projects in various sectors," said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the SPIEF Organizing Committee.
According to Kobyakov, SPIEF serves as an essential platform for dialogue between governments, businesses, and experts. "In recent years, Gulf countries have been actively utilizing the forum to establish mutually beneficial cooperation, and Bahrain is a prime example of such engagement. Granting Bahrain the status of guest country at SPIEF 2025 opens new opportunities for deepening economic ties, strengthening partnerships in strategic industries, and reaching a new level of cooperation," he stated.
Bahrain’s Ambassador to Russia, Ahmed Al-Saati, emphasized that relations between Bahrain and Russia continue to grow actively in cultural and humanitarian fields.
"Bahrain has chosen the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum as a key platform to showcase our business, culture, and tourism to the Russian audience. We anticipate active participation from high-profile official delegations and leading Bahraini companies and are confident in the successful expansion of our presence in Russia while continuing to develop our cooperation at all levels," the ambassador noted.
