Indonesia is interested in cooperation with Russia in digital technologies, shipbuilding and pharmaceuticals. The country hopes that companies from these fields will be represented at the Innoprom exhibition in Jakarta on November 25-27, 2021, Indonesian Ambassador to Russia Jose Tavares told TASS on Thursday at the Innoprom international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
"The Innoprom exhibition is planned in Indonesia, in Jakarta. We are planning to hold it from November 25 to 27, 2021. <...> I would like to note that Indonesia is interested in joint work, cooperation in many areas. We are interested in cooperation in digital technologies, as Indonesia is going through a period of massive digitalization. We are also interested in the shipbuilding industry, we are interested in building ports, we are also interested in the pharmaceutical industry," he said.
The ambassador said that the embassy has sent information about the exhibition to the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and various ministries to help them find companies willing to participate in the event. Tavares hopes that companies from other countries in the region will also be able to participate in Innoprom.
The first off-site Innoprom in Tashkent, held in April 2021, ended with the signing of contracts for 33 projects involving $2.2 billion in Russian investment.
