Regular railway passenger service between Kyrgyzstan and Russia will be resumed starting June 2022. This was announced on Wednesday by the "Kyrgyz Railways" state enterprise.
"Since the beginning of June, the movement of passenger trains of the international service of the Kyrgyz Railways is resumed," the statement said. In particular, from June 8 twice a week passenger train on the route Bishkek - Samara - Bishkek will start ply, from June 6 the train once a week on the route Bishkek - Kazan - Bishkek, from June 9 once in eight days on the route Bishkek - Novosibirsk - Bishkek.
The state enterprise reminded that the passengers of these trains must have a negative PCR-test, which had not been passed for more than 48 hours.
Regular railway passenger service between Kyrgyzstan and Russia was suspended in spring 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.
