Minnikhanov: assets of Islamic economy should grow to $3.7 trillion by 2024

The total assets of the Islamic economy should increase from $2.9 trillion to $3.7 trillion by 2024, said Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia - Islamic World".


"Today, the Islamic economy is an integral part of the world. Experts estimate its total assets at $2.9 trillion, and by 2024 it should increase to $3.7 trillion," said Minnikhanov at the International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic World: KazanSummit".


He noted that in all areas of the Islamic economy strong growth is projected.


The XII International Economic Summit "Russia - Islamic world: KazanSummit 2021" will continue until July 30. Representatives of 61 countries and 38 regions of Russia are taking part. The summit aims to develop cooperation and maintain a dialogue between Russia and the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the economic, political and cultural spheres.
