The schedule for supplies of materials and works at the Akkuyu nuclear power plant construction site in Turkey has not changed, the Akkuyu NPP's press service told TASS on Thursday.
On Thursday, Kommersant reported that the Akkuyu NPP may have problems with the supply of electrical equipment from German Siemens Energy. The German regulator has not yet issued a full set of permits for its export.
"Work on the project, including the processes of supplying materials and equipment for the needs of the Akkuyu NPP construction, is carried out according to schedule," the company told TASS.
Earlier, Akkuyu Nuklear said it had not received any official notifications from Siemens to stop the supply of equipment for the Akkuyu NPP. It was noted that Siemens has practically completed the manufacturing of the power equipment of the complete switchgear for the Akkuyu NPP, and Akkuyu Nuklear specialists took part in the equipment acceptance procedure at the plant in Germany at the end of 2022.
