Russia Increases Barley Exports to Saudi Arabia Nearly Ninefold

Russia's barley exports to Saudi Arabia have surged nearly nine times from the beginning of 2024 until July 21 compared to the same period in 2023, reaching over 1.1 million tons, the federal center "Agroexport" reports.

 

“Since the beginning of 2024 up to July 21, Russia has exported more than 1.1 million tons of barley to Saudi Arabia. Compared to the same period in 2023, shipments have increased almost nine times,” stated the report.


The report highlights that Saudi Arabia is the top buyer of Russian barley in 2024.

 

Previously, the federal center "Agroexport" indicated that barley exports from Russia between January and May 2024 increased 2.1 times compared to the same period in 2023, amounting to more than 3 million tons.
