The IT Park in Uzbekistan has seen a significant increase in foreign residents, with 13 Russian companies leading the way among new arrivals in January-February 2024. This represents the highest growth rate among countries whose companies have registered on the IT Park's platform, according to the press service of the IT Park.
"The number of IT Park residents is on a steady increase. In January, 75 companies became residents of IT Park, and in February, the growth rate accelerated, with 134 new companies gaining this status," the press release stated. For the two months of 2024, a total of 32 companies from 12 countries were granted the status of foreign resident, with 13 companies from Russia, six from the United States, three from South Korea, and two from Turkey.
In 2023, the IT Park hosted 426 companies with foreign capital, marking a 2.4-fold increase in the export of their services compared to the previous year, reaching $344 million. The IT Park of Uzbekistan, established in July 2019 in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent, introduced the Zero Risk program in 2023 to support foreign companies, aiming to facilitate the localization of foreign businesses in the IT sector.
