Share of mutual settlements in national currencies within the EEU reached 75%

The volume of mutual settlements between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in national currencies reached 75%, Official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Iya Malkina said on Friday at a press conference in Bishkek.

 

"Currently, 75% of mutual trade is carried out (in the EEU - TASS) in national currencies," she said.

 

Malkina admitted that this figure will increase in the near future, as a proper market situation is developing for this. "According to the experts of the commission, we can expect an increase in their share up to 85%," she concluded.
