SIBUR is currently discussing supplies of kits and spare parts to China, Iran and UAE in order to carry out shutdown maintenance of its imported equipment and is studying the experience of these countries, SIBUR CEO Mikhail Karisalov said on Wednesday during the Tyumen Industrial and Energy Forum (TNF).
"Indeed, focusing on the best technology, most of our equipment was imported. But at the moment [we are] doing this substituting of repair kits, working with China, the Emirates, with Iran, with suppliers who have been helping Iran for the past four decades to live under sanctions," he said, noting that the company is trying to study and apply the experience of these countries.
Earlier SIBUR Production Support Director Anton Burdin said that SIBUR had a stock of components for scheduled repairs over the next year and a half, the company is forming plans to replace imported equipment based on the needs until 2026. The key problem positions for the company are hypercompressors, extruders, technological lines for production of rubbers.
