Tokayev and Russian Deputy Prime Ministers discussed strengthening cooperation in trade and energy

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed strengthening cooperation in trade and energy at a meeting in Nur-Sultan with a Russian delegation headed by Russian Deputy Prime Ministers Alexander Novak and Alexei Overchuk, the head of state's press service said on Tuesday.


"During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for strengthening Kazakh-Russian trade and economic and fuel and energy ties, as well as cooperation within the EAEU. They also touched upon topical issues of bilateral cooperation related to the development of green energy, peaceful atom, transport and logistics sector and mutual recognition of vaccination passports," the report says.


November 15, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a meeting with a Russian delegation headed by Alexander Novak and Alexey Overchuk. The parties discussed topical issues of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector - in the field of subsoil use, oil and gas, electricity. Special attention was paid to the prospects of cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy, participation of Russian companies in the gasification of northern and eastern regions of Kazakhstan.
