11 August 2021

According to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tunisia to Russia Tarak Ben Salem, the countries have agreed to resume air communication on a reciprocal basis, writes ATOR.

"In fact, now we are just waiting for another decision of the Russian operational headquarters to combat the coronavirus, which will give the green light to regular and, hopefully, charter flights to Tunisia," the Ambassador said.

He added that in case of full opening the country is ready to provide competitive prices compared to other beach destinations that are available to Russians.

At the moment politicians have agreed to appoint Red Wings airline for flights to Tunisia. The second carrier could be Aeroflot. Tunisair and Nouvelair will fly to Russia on the principle of reciprocity.

It is specified that by permission of the operating company our compatriots will be able to fly to Enfid-Hammamet and Monastir airports as well as to Djerba Island from Moscow (seven flights a week), St. Petersburg, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar.
