Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Guinea's Foreign Minister Morisanda Kouyate exchanged congratulatory messages in celebration of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
"On October 4, we celebrated the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our country and the Republic of Guinea," stated the Russian Foreign Ministry in a press release. "In honor of this significant occasion, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and Guineans Abroad of the Republic of Guinea, Morisanda Kouyate, exchanged congratulatory messages."
The Russian Foreign Ministry highlighted that Lavrov underscored the long-standing friendly nature of Russian-Guinean relations and expressed confidence in their ongoing progressive development. Additionally, the Russian Foreign Minister stressed Moscow's dedication to continuing collaborative efforts with Conakry to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including trade and economics, humanitarian initiatives, education, and more, as stated by the ministry.
Conversely, Morisanda Kouyaté emphasized that since the establishment of the Guinean state, Russia and Guinea have fostered fruitful and fraternal relations founded on mutual respect, the diplomatic ministry stated. The Guinean Foreign Minister also reaffirmed the country's commitment to strengthening friendship and cooperation with Russia.
