Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov has arrived in Almaty for a working visit to participate in a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The meeting will include defense ministers from CSTO member states, the CSTO Secretary General, and the CSTO Joint Chief of Staff. "During the event, there will be an exchange of views on challenges and threats to military security within the organization's area of responsibility," the statement read.
Additionally, the Russian Defense Minister is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings with the heads of military departments from the CSTO member states, the ministry reported.
