Erdogan and Putin Discuss Escalation Between Israel and Palestine

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan conveyed during a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin that the silence of Western countries has contributed to a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented proportion in the Gaza Strip.

 

"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In the course of their discussion, the two leaders addressed the intensification of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, as well as the humanitarian crisis in the region," -  conveyed the Turkish presidential office to reporters. - "President Erdogan underscored that the absence of meaningful action by Western nations has contributed to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the Gaza Strip."

 

Erdogan emphasized that the conflict in the Middle East is escalating, resulting in a continuous rise in civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip. "President Erdogan highlighted the escalating severity of actions against the Palestinian territories, resulting in a rapidly mounting toll of civilian casualties," the statement reported. Additionally, he underlined Turkey's unwavering commitment to contributing to regional stability.
