Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is scheduled to participate in a meeting with the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries on April 12 in Minsk, on the sidelines of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). "During the CIS Foreign Ministers meeting on April 12 in Minsk, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will attend the seventh meeting of the heads of foreign ministries of Russia and Central Asian states, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan," the report stated.
The Russian Foreign Ministry anticipates that the meeting will focus on the advancement of work on agreements reached following the first Russia-Central Asia summit on October 14, 2022, in Astana. Additionally, discussions are expected to cover key international and regional issues, with a particular emphasis on environmental concerns and the potential for cooperation in this critical area.
