Putin Appoints New Russian Ambassador to Pakistan

Russian President Vladimir Putin has officially appointed Albert Khorev as the Russian ambassador to Pakistan. The decree outlining this appointment has been published on the official legal information portal.

 

"To appoint Albert Pavlovich Khorev as Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan", the document reads.

 

In a separate decree, the president relieved Danila Ganich of his duties as the Russian ambassador to Pakistan, a position he held since 2019.

 

Albert Khorev, born in 1979, has been appointed as his successor. Prior to this role, Khorev served as the deputy director of the second department of Asia at the Russian MFA. Additionally, he held the position of head of the department's Afghanistan division.
