Putin Arrives in Kazakhstan

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Kazakhstan, landing at the capital, Astana, for an official visit.

 

Putin's visit will involve a busy schedule. He is set to meet with Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the state residence "Akorda." The agenda for their discussions includes the signing of various documents and will focus on the prospects of bilateral cooperation and addressing current international issues. Following the meeting, both leaders will make statements to the media.

 

 

One significant item on the agenda is the participation of Putin and Tokayev in the plenary session of the XIX Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan. The forum, themed "Agriculture - the Basis of a Strong Economy," will be conducted in Kostanai, with both leaders delivering their remarks via videoconference.

 

Additionally, Tokayev will host an official reception in honor of  Putin. This face-to-face meeting marks the fifth encounter between the two presidents this year, with regular telephone communication also a common practice.
