Putin Congratulates Subianto on Indonesia's Presidential Victory

Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended his sincere congratulations to Indonesian President-elect Prabowo Subianto on his election victory. The congratulatory telegram was made public on the Kremlin website.

 

Putin's message to Subianto reads, "Dear Mr. Prabowo Subianto, please accept my sincere congratulations on your convincing victory in the presidential election. The relations between Russia and Indonesia are built on a solid foundation of friendship and mutual respect, and they are successfully progressing in various areas."

 

The Russian leader expressed his confidence that Subianto's leadership will further strengthen the Russian-Indonesian cooperation, benefiting both nations and contributing to regional security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.

 

"I look forward to engaging in constructive dialogue with you and collaborating effectively on important matters concerning both our bilateral relationship and the international agenda," the Russian leader concluded, wishing the elected president of Indonesia success, health, and well-being.

 

 

The Indonesian elections, which involved over  204 million eligible voters and took place at more than  820,000 polling stations, are considered the largest direct elections globally. The newly elected president and vice president are set to assume office in October.
