Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin emphasized that the international community's collective efforts should be directed towards finding a durable resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
"I believe it is crucial for the international community to focus its efforts on achieving an immediate ceasefire and de-escalation of the situation. Subsequently, we should work towards finding sustainable solutions that ensure a lasting resolution," the deputy minister commented in response to US President Joe Biden's statement that the United States would support Israel in its response to the Hamas incursion.
"Such a lasting settlement must be grounded in a robust international legal framework, to which we remain committed," Vershinin emphasized.
