Volodin Meets with Chairman of Tajikistan's Upper House in Almaty

Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin recently convened a meeting with Rustami Emomali, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Upper House) of the Majlisi Oli (Parliament) of Tajikistan in Almaty, as reported on the State Duma's website.

 

“The meeting between Chairman of the State Duma and Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Vyacheslav Volodin and Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustami Emomali took place in Almaty on Monday, June 3,” the statement read.

 

The discussions centered on enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation and implementing decisions made by Presidents Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rahmon at the legislative level. Volodin highlighted that the relationship between Russia and Tajikistan is evolving dynamically based on principles of respect and mutually beneficial cooperation, with the development trajectory being set by the heads of state. He emphasized the importance of deputies' efforts in implementing these decisions.
