Uzbekistan to host Innoprom exhibition for the first time

The Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition with the participation of 300 large Russian companies will be held in the capital of Uzbekistan on April 5-7 in the pavilions of the Uzexpocenter National Exhibition Complex.


Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov noted that Uzbekistan is an important trade and economic partner. "It is a strategic partner, with which Russian companies are already creating and will jointly implement major cooperation projects in various sectors of the economy," Manturov said, as quoted by the press service of the ministry. According to the Minister, the participation of 300 Russian companies in the upcoming exhibition will vividly prove that ""Made in Russia" is high quality and readiness for open and mutually beneficial relations".


As stated by the organizers, a large business program is planned within the framework of the event, the central event of which will be the Strategic Session with Minister Manturov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov. A Russian-Uzbekistan interregional forum is also planned, which will be attended by heads of regions of the two countries.


"Uzbekistan and Russia implement a large package of joint projects in a variety of fields. The success of cooperation is confirmed by the fact that despite the pandemic, the mutual trade turnover between our countries in 2020 was about $6 billion. We plan to bring this amount to $10 billion," Umurzakov said. - "The forthcoming industrial exhibition will be an excellent platform for the formation of new cooperation projects and the signing of mutually beneficial contracts and agreements".


Program and Exhibitors


According to the program, specialized sessions on industrial subjects such as "Digital Production", "Joint Projects in Mechanical Engineering", "Financing of Industry", "Technologies for Cities" and "Innovations in Power Engineering" will be held within the framework of the exhibition. More than two dozen sessions will take place in total. Heads of regions, heads of state and local authorities, business associations, development institutes and mass media are expected to take part in the sessions. One day of the business program is supported by the National Research University "Higher School of Economics". Russian institute of higher education will organize events on topical issues of modern industrial production for the students of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.


The Russian Industrial Exhibition Innoprom is a brand that is known all over the world, said Anton Atrashkin, the exhibition's program director. "Our Innoprom, a global brand with a 10-year history that is known in many countries, is finally coming to Tashkent. After all, Uzbekistan is the new Eldorado. Not only for Russia but for the entire global industry - with smart public administration, young and educated human capital and a quality business environment," said Atrashkin. In addition to companies from Russia and Uzbekistan, delegations of well-known industrial structures from France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Japan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and other countries are participating in the exhibition in the Uzbek capital.


The Innoprom is the main international industrial exhibition in the Russian Federation. Since 2010, it has been held annually in four pavilions of 50 thousand square meters at the Ekaterinburg-Expo International Exhibition Centre. The exhibition attracts 600 exhibitors representing the largest companies of Russia and the world and about 50 thousand visitors from 70 countries.
