In the modern world, in the conditions of spreading xenophobia, researches for the purpose of spreading knowledge among the young generation acquire special importance. This is the most important element of maintaining stability and peace in the world, Halit Eren, the Director-General of Research Center for Islamic History, Arts and Culture (IRCICA), stated at the videoconference "Chingiz Aitmatov International Forum of Writers and Intellectuals".
He noted that in his works Chingiz Aitmatov brought the traditions of the Kyrgyz to the world.
An ordinary man through whom the author was able to reflect universal values was always at the center of his novels and stories. It's contributed to the development of intercultural dialogue and the peaceful coexistence of cultures.
He emphasized the connection of his heroes with the local culture but at the same time, he relied on the world culture and showed how traditional cultural elements are woven into modern society. Aitmatov's works are extremely important for the younger generation, Eren stressed.
