On August 17 the official opening ceremony of Summer International School "Bulgarian dialogue of cultures" was held in Bolgar.

In welcoming address given by School's director Valery Letyaev, he remarked: "The dialogue begins with the desire to understand each other".

In speech delivered by program director Bulat Ahmetkarimov, he gave some important instructions for participants about how to work on projects. Precisely he noted that the main idea is discussing the importance of dialogue between different cultures and balance of civilizations. ⠀
Also there were special greetings from Bulgarian Islamic academy rector Daniyar Abdrahmanov and from the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia – islamic world" representative Elmira Sadykova. ⠀
