The Chechen Republic is fully prepared to host the annual meeting of the Russia – Islamic World strategic vision group scheduled for May 16-17, 2017.
The conclusion was made at the final session of the organizing committee attended by Abdulkakhir Izrayilov, first deputy chair of the executive office of the Chechen leader and the government, deputy PM Khasan Khakimov, ministers and heads of agencies.
The confirmed list of the participants will feature heads of the North Caucasus Federal District, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and representatives of almost 30 countries. They will come to the forum to discuss relevant issues of international relations, ways to bring closer Russia and Muslim states.
According to Mr. Izrayilov, the Chechen Republic is aware of the event’s importance. It must provide a comfortable environment and demonstrate to the forum participants the traditions and culture of Chechen people and other ethnic groups that live in the region.
“We must demonstrate the achievements of the policy set by our first President, Hero of Russia, Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, his role in strengthening relations between ethnic groups. We also must share our experience in fighting terrorism and extremism,” he said.
